Now Offering Unique Music Classes
Break the Barriers is excited to present Music Magic. After much deliberation and consternation, there is finally a music program. Music Magic combines high energy kinesthetic activities and colorful explanations to open up the wondrous world of music. Each game is designed to allow students aged 6 and up to interact with specific concepts such as rhythm, harmony, and vocal skills. Various instruments are employed and learned, and even vocal solos are available to interested students.This dynamic, fast-moving class is offered weekly in two month sessions which will culminate in a performance. Many of the pieces are collaboratively written by the class. But, all of this pales in comparison to the ambitious undertaking musical planned before the end of the school year. The success of our first musical was so well received that plans are in the works to book a new venue that will accommodate all the families and friends of the participating students. Still in the works, this adventurous endeavor promises to be entertaining and educational as it promotes inclusion and acceptance for people of all abilities.

Home School Music
Home School Music is offered during the regular school day, these classes can accommodate children of various ages, promoting a family environment in the classroom. Students will encounter the four components of music: theory, notation, composition, and performance. The session will culminate in a Christmas performance in December in which participants will showcase the songs they have learned and composed.
Private Lessons
Private Lessons are available for Piano, Vocals,
Guitar, and Percussion and more.. Offered on a
monthly basis, these half hour lessons target the
specific needs of the student. Traditional or more
global approaches are employed. Time slots are
available weekday afternoons, 3:00-5:00; however,
the schedule is to be arranged with the individual
teacher.
