Since legislature passed the
laws of Inclusion in our public schools and the American Disabled
Act was passed, we should see more people opening their doors to persons
with various Abilities. Many fears from preconceived ideas keep people
from bringing persons experiencing different Abilities into their
world.
 When
families experience the excitement and enthusiasm of Break the Barriers,
watching persons with different Abilities partnering together, they
are brought into the experience and understand the world of Inclusion
and its many rewards. They are filled with joy and their hearts are
softened. They will never forget the Break the Barrier's experience
and are led to breaking barriers themselves, at work, school, church,
or home. The concept of Inclusion has been presented in a successful
atmosphere that educates everyone and encourages people to live life
to the fullest. They will see and believe that breaking barriers is
not just possible but a Reality.
The success of BTB is due to the support from people who believe in
the concept of Inclusion. Because of this support and the dedication
of many, BTB has been recognized as a National Role Model for Inclusion
by the U.S. Department of Special Education. Inclusion works!!
